In Search of Recognition

“Who gets the credit?”  Do you see what a human concept this is?  Only a mind that sees itself as lacking would concern itself with recognition and attention.  That is the ego speaking, poor thing.  Ego sees not that it is a player in the role of human-being.  Its role is quite important, actually.  It is in awakening to the fact that you are far more than ego and then overcoming egoic behaviors that you truly fulfill your purpose in this earthly existence.  You come to remember that there has only ever been one Consciousness whose essence is goodness and love.  With that understanding, recognition matters not.  It is like looking in the mirror to confirm that you exist.  You know this already.  Why would you need credit for doing something good?  You are goodness and love already.  Yes, praise is appreciated.  It is a way of sharing love, but it need not come at the expense of others.  You can simply smile and bathe in the goodness and love you have brought to the surface by being your highest Self.  That is all the recognition the soul desires.
