Why do you feel so content when another agrees with your
perspective? It is affirming to
you. We take you back now to that
theater in the round. There you sit in
your seat, firmly convinced of your view as the one reality. A friend changes their seat and comes to sit
beside you. “My goodness,” they say, “Things
look quite different from here! I now
see what you have been talking about.”
And you smile. You are comforted,
for you are not alone. Companionship
feels good. “Now, why don’t you come and
see how things look over there on the other side of the stage?” suggests your
friend, and you balk. That would mean
leaving your nice warm seat. You have
grown quite comfortable here.
Do you see that there is no right or wrong? There are different perspectives. Why, even the scene on the stage changes from
time to time. Are you tired of clinging
to your beliefs? No doubt some of them
are worth holding onto. We are only
suggesting a new way to see your so-called reality.
