Why do wolves howl at the moon?
Because they are restless.
Inside, their soul knows peace. Outwardly,
they feel trapped. In their anguish they
bay at the light in the sky calling them home, yet they remain earthbound. Yes, they are pack animals, and they find
great solace in these bonds, but inside they long for freedom.
Do not feel sorry for the wolf.
He is at home anywhere he roams.
He will howl, yes, as if in anguish, but inside his soul knows the
truth. His is strong. He is trustworthy. He is loyal, but given a chance, given wings,
he would fly to the moon and back. Why
would he return? For once there he would
discover that home is where the heart is.
Not at some distant, glowing rock, but there inside him, where the glow
never goes out.
I love this reading. It has a very special meaning for me, as well as others, I'm sure.Thank you, Sanaya.
