Who is Sanaya? Suzanne Giesemann answers:

Who is Sanaya? Suzanne Giesemann answers: "Sanaya (pronounced "sah-NIGH-ah") has told us that she is a collective consciousness of minds with both a feminine and masculine energy. This energy comes from a higher dimension than our own. When I bring through Sanaya's words, I am "tapping in" to Higher Consciousness. I am allowing that Consciousness to express itself through my body: through my brain, through my vocal cords, my arms, my hands, and also through my pen. Sanaya would not need a name, except for our human need to put labels on things and place our experiences into well-defined boxes. Sanaya takes us outside the box into a dimension where we come face to face with our higher selves. To hear the words of Sanaya as they come through ... to sit in the presence of that energy ... is a palpable experience of higher vibration ... of love. To read Sanaya's words can have the same result when you tune in to that finer energy as you read." Effortless ...

Expending effort is wasted effort. You need not TRY to do anything. To do anything, you need merely have the good intention, the desire, and the knowledge that you are connected at all times with an Intelligence far greater than your own. With this knowledge, how could you fail at “doing”?

You may not achieve exactly what you want if your intentions are not aligned with The Greater Good. Ego intentions are often quite different form Spirit intentions. Turn your desires over to the Divine Mind. “Thy will be done” is an excellent phrase for finding freedom.

You need not try or expend worry when you do anything from a place of knowing that all is in perfect order always. Yes, of course you will need to “do”—to take action—but without TRYING. Do you see the difference? When there is no struggle, then you have surrendered ego and are allowing. Allowing is the doorway to freedom.

Poem #391 - Separate Paths

You can lead a horse to water,
But you cannot make it drink.
Another’s thoughts and actions
Are more habitual than you think.

It’s not your place to say
What other’s think and do.
So worry not when how they act
Does not agree with you.

Each one is on his own sure path.
Each grows at his own pace.
And with perfect timing
His own lessons will he face.

So worry not of others.
Try not to keep control.
It’s only you who needs to grow
As you develop your own soul.

If this thought does bring you trouble,
If you think all others need grow, too,
Then you’ve lost focus of the lesson
That there’s only One of you.

Transmute and Transform

Bury your thoughts and you think you’ve done away with them. But where do they go when you push them down or away? Thoughts are pure energy, and energy cannot be destroyed—merely transformed. Those thoughts that you leave behind continue to fester in the subconscious mind and can be seen in your energy field by those who can perceive these subtle energies.

So what to do in order that those thoughts which no longer serve you no longer affect you? Because they are energy, you transform them. You replace them with thoughts of a higher frequency so that those thoughts of a lower frequency are subsumed and transmuted into new beliefs of a finer vibration. This does not happen by itself. First realize that you did create the lesser thoughts of your own mind by believing illusions thrust upon you by a world steeped in illusion. Anything less than love is a lie and serves you not.

Step into that place in which you know yourself as pure Love and from this place of creation create love-filled thoughts in which any other thoughts cannot survive—forced out, changed, and transmuted by love. This is transformation.

On Aging

Allow yourself to grow older. Yes, you have a choice – between resisting and allowing. Allow the aches and pains. Allow the need for testing--the tests that come to you from both your doctors and your life lesson teachers. You are here to learn, and you cannot learn unless you grow. This you call aging.

It is those who resist this very natural process who age faster than others. Do you see the irony? Resistance causes blockage of the rejuvenating, healing, energizing Life Force. Allow this natural process of aging to occur, and instantly you do feel better inside, in the very part of you which never ages. Retreat to that part of you which is pure spirit. Watch the aging process with great interest as you allow it to occur. Send compassion to the body as it serves you. Send compassion to others who do not understand the truths of the Spirit.

When you see a new wrinkle or undergo other milestones in the process of living a physical life, step into awareness of yourself as spirit and allow. Now there’s a new wrinkle, is it not?

***The Sun Always Rises

You watch the sun rise above the horizon and you rejoice at the start of another day. What new opportunities will it bring? If you do not see this new beginning in such a light, then we ask you to shine a very bright light onto your thoughts. Perhaps you are going through a difficult time in your life, but has not the sun arisen again to bring light into your life? It is clouds across the mind that do block out this realization.

The Great Spirit gave birth to the sun to bring you light and the hope of rebirth, renewal, and growth. The Great Spirit created YOU to experience the light and to shine your own light upon others. No matter what challenges you face, the sun will always rise to shine upon you, and the light is always there within you. It is only you who can clear away the clouds. No matter what challenges you face, this realization that the light lies there within you can banish the darkness in an instant.

Yes, the sunset does remind you of the cycles of life. Within the physical world there are beginnings and endings. Change is the signature of the Divine Mind at work. But knowing that the sunrise always follows the sunset and that the sun never actually goes away, you find hope. The darkness is not lasting. The light is still there. This too shall pass.

Poem #390 - Hard Lessons

Tribes of nations go to war …
What for?
They fight and kill each other,
Forgetting that the other’s a brother

It is the governments that rule
Who do forget this is a school
Where all the same things come to learn
Where all inside for love do yearn.

It’s through illusion they forget.
They see not the truth inside, and yet
Here and there does lie a glimmer
Of the light that in all does shimmer.

Give up not hope that love will prevail.
There is a happy ending to this tale.
For one day will be lifted the veil of illusion
And gone forever will be man’s confusion.

If only through what you now call death
When the body takes its final breath.
For now you see this as an end
But it’s then to you great hope we send.

For then you’ll truly see with new eyes.
It’s then all men do realize
That all the fighting was a game of man
A tiny blink in the over-all plan.

The wars and destruction are part of the lessons
That in your soul do leave deep impressions,
And teach to all the importance of Life
Instead of raising a gun or a knife.

A Living Duracell

Batteries … they do take stored energy and convert it into something useful—usable energy which you can call on at any time to make your small appliances work. Your body is like a battery. It does store up energy which you then use to run the very parts of yourself. But like your small Duracells, do not the cells of your body run down and need replenishment?

Plug your Self into the Great Battery Charger on a regular basis. Receive a supply of revitalizing energy at any time—yes, by stopping the frenetic action to and fro and resting, of course. But from where comes the replenishing flow of energy which you do take on during rest? Ask yourself this question.

Your energy supply comes from the unlimited Source. Should this Source wish for you to no longer continue your lessons in the great school of physical life, your physical battery would run down completely. But from moment to moment your Source replenishes the body and the spirit as well. Treat it well, and give it time to recharge. And while you are resting or sitting in the silence, give thanks that you have an ever-present light inside you, fueled by the loving energy of your Source.

In an Avalanche

There are times when all of your troubles seem to pile up at once. You wonder, is this an avalanche with everything falling upon you and seemingly suffocating you? There, in the center, is a little breathing space. It is completely quiet and dark at first, but stay there but a few minutes looking with eyes closed and you will see a tiny pin prick of light. This is your salvation. From this light comes a sense of peace … the knowingness that you are not alone and are well protected.

No matter what is going on around you, this quiet space with the breathing room and tiny light is your sacred place to which you can retreat at any time. Go there often and watch as that light grows until it not only fills you and surrounds you, but until you realize that it IS you. Then, my friend, it will not matter what befalls you … you will know that you can see your way through it in peace.

Peace be with you.

Teach Your Children Well

You spend so much time educating children in practical matters, such as how to add 2 and 2 and how to read Dick and Jane. Years and years they spend in formal schooling, yet who does guide them in this grand School of Life? It is true that all are on their own path, and beliefs will vary, but is it not true that there are certain truths which are the same for all? The greatest lesson is found in what you call the Golden Rule, found in nearly all of your organized religions in some form. Should this not be taught to your children each day until each member of mankind can never forget it?

Whether or not one can add numbers or read letters matters little at the end of this physical life. But whether one has learned The Prime Lesson makes a world of difference when one moves toward the Light and asks, “How did I spend my days? Did I treat each one as a brother or sister? Did I love them as I love myself?” The goal of life should be to answer this question with a resounding “Yes!”

Teach your children well, and as you do, make sure that as the teacher, you do practice what you teach.

Peace in the Depths

Allow yourself to sink deep. Feel as if falling slowly into a deep chasm. There at the bottom lies total stillness. Away from all distractions there is peace. Just as at the bottom of the ocean, it is still. The disturbances and waves on the surface may still be there far above, but when you settle below, you experience the calm. This is the state you are seeking in meditation. It is a state of unperturbed consciousness.

This deep calm lies within you at all times. When you experience it repeatedly by sitting in the silence, you come to know that this peace is not only a part of you, but it is your natural state. A simple visualization will help you to get there. Be as the pebble that causes ripples with your thoughts on the surface, then surrender and sink slowly to the peaceful bottom of the sea of consciousness. Allow your mind to settle there for a while on a regular basis and far more peaceful will be your days.

Labels

Fathers look after their children with utmost care. Mothers cradle their children in their arms and provide comfort. The unconditional love of a parent goes beyond boundaries. It is for this reason that much of mankind does refer to the Great Source of All That Is as “Father” or “Father-Mother God.” We wish you to know that you may put any label you like upon this Benevolent Source of All Love. Choose any title or label which to you references extension of love, limitless creativity, and limitless awareness.
“Great Creator ” … “Great Artist” … the list is endless, for all that is arises from one Source … one Divine Mind … and all from the desire to experience and express beauty.

Your Source has no body, for that would imply limitation. You have been gifted with a body so that Your Source can experience and express love and beauty AS you. So call this Source whatever loving term resonates with you, but in the end, when you have fully awakened, you will add one other term to your list that signifies all love and beauty and that unites you with your true Self: not “Father,” not “Mother,” but “I”, for you … are … That.

A New Year's Gift

From Suzanne: Each week for the past year I have channeled my guides for a select group of friends. The session we enjoyed on January 2nd was too special not to share. I step out of the way and allow these words to come through me from my guides. As strange as this concept still seems to me, I and those present cannot deny that these words are certainly not my own, for they flow non-stop in a way that I could never express them. Click here to read the transcript of the session. Happy New Year, and may it be a year full of love and peace for all.

Nourishment for the Soul

A baker’s dozen refers to when one receives more than one has paid for. All of life can be a baker’s dozen when the currency is love.

So many people give love expecting love in return. Be aware that there will always be misers in your pathway who hold onto their love with a tight fist. Let this matter not. Love them anyway. You will always receive more in return than you give. The problem comes when you fail to understand that all is One. So if the love does not come back from an individual you have identified, do not be disappointed. It will come from another and more.

Be not demanding, but let your love flow freely. Let it fall where it might. Like the baker’s dough, spread it out and watch it grow. As the baker, you create something from nothing: nourishment for the souls of others in the form of your love.

Sing!

Be not bashful. Sing the praises of Life at the top of your voice. What is singing, but the joyful expression of that which you feel in your heart. Music does indeed carry a vibration—each note resonating with various human emotions. Choose songs which uplift you … which make your heart soar, and sing with all your might. It matters not if you can carry a tune, merely that you express the love inside (that which you so often suppress) through the voice.

Let there be a joyous noise as you rejoice in being alive. Why do you think one speaks of a “choir” of angels? Angels know naught but love and sing in perfect harmony. Sing loud and sing long. Sing with your radio, with your favorite singer, or all alone where no one can hear you. It matters not. Your spirit longs to be set free. Let it soar on the notes of your voice and feel the freedom. Feel the love. That is the music of the Maker.

Be Aware

Bad news always brings a reaction. For some it is weeping, for others gnashing of the teeth, and for yet others lashing out in anger. Do you realize that all of these are learned and programmed responses? The words you hear hold meaning to you based on thoughts held in your conscious and subconscious mind. Why is it that there can be such varied responses to the same news? Why is it that some, upon hearing what others consider bad news, can react with peaceful calm? It is because of their own personal programming.

Do you realize that your reaction to all news, whether good or bad, is always a choice? The first response will always be an automatic reaction, but after that you are not a puppet on strings. Never forget that you arise from the Source of All Love. Your role always is to be as the Source and express your Self. If you can see through the shock of any instant and remember Who you are, your subsequent reactions can come from a much higher place. When you react with love instead of fear, you do help the cells of your body as well as all consciousness which surrounds you. Never forget who you are. In this there is true power. Be aware.

No Expectations

Be patient with each other. Be mindful of the demands you do place on those beside yourself to conform to your desires. Why should you all be alike? Why should others think exactly as you do? This life is to be experienced in all of its many expressions.

All that you should hope for from another is that they extend love and kindness to you and others, just as you. But even over this you have no control. The only thing you control is your own thoughts and actions. Let your thoughts be compassionate and understanding when others do not meet your expectations. Let your actions be loving and helpful. If not, frustration and anger will be your experience. Be at peace within, no matter what transpires without. It is always up to you.

Poem #389 - Harmony

Fever means the head burns hot.
A healthy body have you not.
From where does come this bad dis-ease?
From trying hard ego to please.

When ego’s role you focus on
You fail to see it’s all a con—
A false belief that you reside
In a form you can divide.

You are not the form at all.
It’s spirit’s name who you does call.
“Acknowledge me,” this voice does cry.
“My presence please do not deny.”

There’s only love, not separate lives.
In spite of how the ego strives
To make you think you stand apart
Instead of all joined by the heart.

When separation you believe,
All cells inside you do deceive.
And in this way you do create
A most unpleasant inner state.

The end result is often ills
That lead you to resort to pills
When illness could have been prevented
If from deception you repented.

See now your oneness with all things
And feel the peace that seeing brings.
Give love to self and to your brother
For, in fact, there is no other.

All are reflections of the Source.
Through all veins God’s love does course.
So keep this always close at mind
And far more harmony you’ll find.

Who's In Charge Here?

“Thy will be done.” To whom are you speaking when you state this hallowed phrase? Be always aware that you are speaking to your Self, for you and your Maker cannot be separated. Where do you draw the line between the sunbeam and the sun? Yes, as a ray of Light, as a focus of Consciousness, as an intelligent being that arises from Infinite Intelligence you can find your way quite well in this world and beyond, but why would you choose to walk alone, unguided, when the One who sees all, knows all, and loves all is always available to guide your every step?

It is only when you act as an impudent child and demand your independence that you encounter difficulties. But God is infinitely patient with his offspring. He allows you to find your own way, and if you should become lost and cry out for help, he responds. But do not wait until the road is bumpy or you get lost. Relinquish this egoic need for independence. Acknowledge and rejoice in your Oneness with Spirit, as spirit. Declare in every moment, “Thy will be done.” Then watch how the road smoothes out and spreads out beautifully before you … a golden pathway lighted by the blinding light of the Father, who always knows what is best for his children.

Not of It

Be in the world, but not of it—one of the wisest sayings you can follow. You walk for a time in a human’s shoes, but you need not assume the clothing of the body as your identity. In fact, it is this very outer clothing that does mask the real you—one who is one with the Creator. Unmask yourself. Disrobe completely from the body and all are alike. There is no longer the competition of who wears the finest clothes, who owns the finest things, and who has the greatest beauty. There is only Love and the expression of Love toward others.

You need not die to learn this truth. You need not die to act as a loving spirit without a body. Be in the world, as you are now—with a body and all the trappings of life in the physical plane—but be of spirit in mind and in loving action in each moment. There you will find peace—when all attachments are gone, when all fear has been replaced by the understanding that you are Spirit here and now.

Be in the world. Sit back. Observe and nod your head at all you see and say, “That’s Life … good and bad … That’s Life.” You are merely here to play a part. How will you play it today?

Poem #388

Note from Suzannne. When I heard the first rhyming lines in my head this morning, I couldn't help but smile. What a great way to start the year ... with a poem. May 2011 be filled with peace, love, and happiness for all.

Everybody has a story.
Yours is one of many.
You see only one side.
There’s a tail on every penny.

Be not so quick to judge
When one does do you wrong.
For outwardly and inwardly
They may sing a different song.

What troubles you, you oft don’t show,
And others hide as well
The turmoil that they feel inside—
Their own internal hell.

So rather than reacting
With anger when confronted,
Stop and think, “What is the cause
For which I’ve been affronted?”

And though this cause may never show
Your waiting is a gift.
For in this pause you give the time
For love the soul to lift.

See not each one with judging eyes,
But feel within your heart.
You need not know another’s tale
To play a healing part.
