Pointing

Every time you point a finger, three of your own point back at you.  There is great truth in this, if you allow yourself to see.  We do not intend to shame you, only to bring awareness of how ego works, that impertinent fellow.  It is far easier to point out another’s faults than to admit that you are human, too.  We wish you to take note the next time you point a finger how soon thereafter you do the self-same thing of which you accused another. 

This is a testing ground in which you live and play.  Experiment all you like, for that is why you are here, but be cautious as you point out other’s faults.  They are merely playing as well.

Without Judgment

Shed the “shoulds” … our advice for the day.  In your human world, nothing will bring you more quickly to dissonance and misalignment with the spirit than the world “should.”  It leads immediately to judgment of another, which is of the ego and speaks to separation.  Using “should” states with the certainty based upon belief that your way is best.  How do you know?  From your experience perhaps it is, but the other is here for their own life lessons and experiences.  Should (and you will notd the use of the word “should”) all others think and act as you do?  This is righteousness.  You may know it all, but are you here to take away another’s lessons, or to continue growing yourself?  Shed the shoulds and you will find that the focus only on your own growth is far more peaceful.

For a Reason

“Don’t push it.”  When have you heard these words before?  There are other ways to get past a wall when you come to it.  You can attempt to climb it, you can continue pushing in an attempt to knock it down, or you can go around it.  But there is another way.  You can sit before the wall with an attitude of gratitude, and wait.  If the wall is still there when you close your eyes and open them, then close them again.  Now, with eyes closed, relax.  Ask to be shown why the wall is there.  Ask to be shown what lies on the other side.  Ask to be shown an easier, wall-free route with an easier path.  Who are you asking?  Those with a greater perspective than your own who can see beyond the wall.  You are not alone on your path, you know.  If you continue to run into that wall and you continue trying to push it, someone is trying to get your attention … doing you a favor, actually, by blocking your way.  So don’t push it.  The wall has something to say.

Why Wait?

If you knew that at the end of your physical life there would be a life review, what would you do differently from moment to moment?  If you knew there were consequences for every thought and action, how would you think and act?  If you knew that you will feel the full effect of what you do and say to others, would this cause you to pause?  All of this is true.  You are responsible to no other than the Self for what you do.  You are judged by no other, but instead become judge and jury through this review in which you are shown and in which you feel cause and effect simultaneously.

Perhaps you would make higher choices if you fast forwarded to this life review from moment to moment here and now.  Perhaps you would make the highest choices—coming from a place of Love always—if you allowed yourself to feel cause and effect now, in an ongoing review of this now-moment here.  Why wait? 

Listening

Oh, that place in the center of you is such a teacher, talking to you like a loud speaker.  But do you listen?  At times it twinges and gives you a tightened feeling.  You see, it does not always speak in words, but the message is clear:  “Do not go near that idea.  It is not in your best interest or in the interest of the Whole.”  And it speaks to you with no feeling whatsoever.  It is that lack of angst, the complete absence of constriction that says, “Go ahead with your plan.  It is in your best interest and will serve the Whole well.”  That feeling is peace.  Come to look for it before you make a decision or take action.  Rarely will it steer you wrong.

Free!

Take back your power.  “But I have not given it away!” you say, and we ask you to take a closer look.  Are there things that you would like to do, but you are afraid you might look foolish, afraid you might fail?  Then you have given away your power to your fears—to those you fear might judge you.  Others hold no power over you, only that which you so easily grant to them.  If this is a revelation to you—how  easily you have allowed others to dictate your actions and achievements and feelings--then the solution lies in the same place:  your thoughts. 

There is only one Power, and that is Consciousness.  The reason those who are achieving their dreams are successful is because they do not allow the individual consciousness of others to overpower the greatest power there is:  Love.  What does Love have to do with it?  Everything.  It is that which spurs you to service, to doing the best you can for the greater good.  When that kind of selfless love fuels your efforts, you care not what others think.  Repeat after us:  “I AM free of what others think of me.”

Until Now

Until now you have been unable to do something you wanted to do.  Until now you have failed.  Why is that?  What have you been telling yourself until now?  Who have you been blaming your lack upon until now?  What has to change before you stop saying “until now?”  If the answer to this question focuses on someone outside of yourself, then prepare yourself to continue saying, “until now.”  If you are willing to look deeply at your thoughts and actions and make a change, then you are ready to adopt a new phrase, looking at the past as you say:  “until then.”  And now?  And now the fun begins.

Obstacles

Obstacles in your path, such blessings they are.  Do you curse the tree that falls and blocks your way, or do you raise your eyes skyward, laugh and say, “Thank you,” for the turn your life must now take and the new choices you get to make?  See the blessings as they unfold and rejoice every moment as you grow old.  Life is one great adventure, unfolding not always as you foresee it with your ground-level sight.  That tree that fell across your path at night could be your greatest gift, causing you to stop and shift.  “Halt!  Don’t go there,” it says quite kindly.  “Do not move forward, oh so blindly.”  This obstacle is rather clear.  Others may not seem so dear, but each twist and turn your life takes has reason.  There is growth in every season.  So curse not the changes in your plans and the flexibility your life demands, but smile and say, “Ah yes, a bump in the road I did not expect.  The unseen reasons I now choose to respect.

For a Reason

Forever yours.  There is one who has told you this and now is gone …separated—or so you think—by death.  What has been joined by love cannot ever be separated.  With the focus so strongly on the physical, perhaps you cannot sense their presence, but it is there.  Gone from your sight, yes, but not from your heart and mind.  “But that is not enough!” you cry, and that is the human way.  Join them in spirit each day, each moment, if you wish, simply through the practice of closing the eyes and shutting out the physical world.  They will join you there.  But there is a reason you are still here.  If you cannot find a reason for still being here, then you have more growth to be had, and paradoxically that is the reason. 

Dedicate your life in service to others, perhaps in memory of the Love your loved one brought to you.  That service could be to one or many, but through the act of it you will come to appreciate the “why’s” and no longer ask, “Why me?”

The Way

How easy it is to give away your power.  You give it to doubts.  You give it to fears.  You give it to the mirrors.  This giving away is a habit, and for most humans is far easier than stepping into your Power.  The latter comes with awareness that inside of you is a place-state that knows nothing of doubt, or fear, or insecurity.  It compares itself with nothing and no one.  It is simply peace, and love, and pure being.  How can you compare this with any opposite, when there is no such state as non-being, no opposite to true divine love?  You may spend your life coming to fully occupy this state and space.  The doubts, fears, and insecurities are the signposts that read “Turn around.  Home is the other Way.”

Beyond Whispers

The whispers in your mind oft go unheard, for you have programmed yourself not to hear them.  “That cannot be true,” you say when the little voice softly tells you the things you most need to hear.  And so you go in search of things outside yourself that you think will make you feel better.  The last thing you want to do is listen to your own thoughts.  But this whisper of which we speak comes from a self beyond the one in pain.  If you will only listen and believe its words of love and encouragement, the voice will rise above a whisper to shout until you will want to shout with joy and share with the world the one great truth:  “All That is is Love, and I AM That!”

Of the Self

“They have their own life to live.”  When have you heard this?  When have you experienced this?  You give your concern, and care, and love to others, and at times they reject you.  This is part of the human experience.  It goes back to the instinct of survival, to think only of the self.  Few think of others more than the self or share the same passions.  When you can come to terms with this very human trait, you will find peace.  Yes, keep on loving and caring, but do not take it personally when you are shunned or ignored.  It is not about you.  This is the lesson that others have yet to learn as well.  There is only one Mind, one great Oversoul, one Consciousness.  Until all realize this, the best advice is to simply be Love and be at peace with that.

... as the Mountain Stream

Purity.  What does this mean?  Picture a beautiful mountain stream, its water flowing over and between the rocks.  You can see all the way to the bottom of this crystal clear water.  You can drink it with no worries of becoming ill.  This is purity.  If you were to look at your motives for doing something, how would they look as compared to this water in the stream whose Source is so mighty?  Would there be a bit of sediment in your thought that clouds the stream of consciousness just a bit?  Let it settle to the bottom, for all humans have the potential of getting a big cloudy from time to time.  It happens, but when you find yourself stirring up the bottom, it is time to let the water settle a bit and return to the purity of the Source.

When You're Smiling ...

A smile upon the lips, oh what a difference this makes.  So many remain unaware of the intimate and intricate connection between body, mind, and spirit.  You wish to relax?  Move your lips slightly upward.  This sends an instant signal to your autonomous nervous system.  You do not have to tell the body to relax.  Your lips just did it for you.  And in that slight upward movement of the lips, you have sent a rush of gratitude to the heart and soul.  You need not walk about with a giant grin on your face to feel better, but we wish to warn you:  If you begin practicing the slight up-turn of the lips, that giant grin may follow naturally.

Blips

A blip in eternity.  Yes, that is one way in which to view your challenges.  They come and go, and some you label more serious than others based upon your human consequences.  But what of the consequences to you as a soul?  Does this blip add to your opportunities for growth?  Everything you face does.  Does this blip offer you the opportunity to make higher choices?  Everything you face does.

Your greatest challenges often bring out the best in you and others.  What do you mean by this?  In human terms, “the best” is a show of strength, courage, love and compassion.  If this is true—and it is when you see past your fears—then you might welcome the blips as the gifts that they are.  Welcome and appreciate them.  They will not last forever, but you as a soul certainly do.

Being Human

There is no hurry.  You are already there.  Where are you trying to get to with all of your rushing, all of your angst?  That urgent need to do, and go, and be and get is born of the sense of separation you learned as a child from those around you.  You came into this world as the purest of souls, knowing peace in your heart, and then you became more fully “human.”  Needy … that is what the human is, for the human is deluded—“brainwashed” as it were—to think that he or she is not loved, not worthy, not enough.  Return in your heart to that state before delusion set in.  Be as the babe.  Be content to simply be … to stare at the world around you with wonder and awe and a sweet smile on your beautiful face.

Above All Else

First things first.  How are your priorities?  What tops the list?  Service to others or concerns of the self?  Love above all else or “Do this or else?”  There are no right or wrong answers to these questions.  How you respond, however, determines how you feel inside and how your life flows. 

You are in control of your life.  What you give out you get back.  Such a perfect system.  You innately know the answers to the questions above that will result in greater peace and happiness.  How is that for special assistance?  Now it is simply a matter of prioritizing, thinking, and choosing in a manner which supports the life of your dreams.  But what of the dream?  Who does it serve?  On what is it based?  Always, always the spirit will tell you and show you.  It all comes back to Love.

On Guard

On guard … that is the human way:  to always be ready to defend.  It stems from your caveman days, and is a built-in mechanism to ensure the survival of your species.  It extends into every aspect of your life, this instinctive need to protect and defend.  But there are two sides of you at all times:  the human and the soul.  When the human is in no immediate danger, be aware of this.  Be aware of the by-products of being on guard.  These you know well as fear, distrust, worry, and frustration.  Ah yes, you remember those?  Can you see these as direct by-products of being on guard? 

How do you move from this state of negativity?  With awareness.  Therein lies the paradox.  To be on guard for traits of defensiveness, one must be on guard.  But it is the peaceful witness of the soul’s perspective who watches diligently from a place of non-judgement, compassion, and understanding of the human ways.  This is when the soul says, “Ah, there goes my human side again, falling back into the default position.  But that is no longer necessary, for my human is awakening.” 

Do you see how it works?

Self-Delusion

What is this concept of self-worth?  It is quite a silly thing, actually, yet you give it all importance.  Does a flower worry about its worth?  Does a weed?  Does a mountain worry about its worth?  Does a tiny pebble?  Does a lion or a kitten?  Then why do you?  “Because humans can reason,” you reason.  What is it that sets humans apart from all other creations?  Self-awareness, ego, reasoning ability … and the concept that one is more worthy than another. 

Perhaps the flowers have much to teach you, as do the mountains and the mountain lions.  Look at the beauty around you in all things, including yourself.  If you cannot see the beauty, then you are allowing humanity and its delusions born of ignorance of who and what you are to delude you.  Wake up, please, and smell the flowers.

Confidently

Confidence … is it a good thing or bad?  Neither.  It is a state of knowing Truth and standing tall in that knowing.  When mixed with human pride, confidence takes on a different hue.  How to bring it back to center?  Realize from whence come your gifts, from whence the knowing derives.  This brings you back to a state of gratitude, which will always draw you to the center—the heart. 

There is no limit to what you can accomplish when you are confident, but beware of the difference between cocky and confident.  One is born of pride, the other of inner strength and the connection to the one true Power.  One is of the self, the other of the Self.  Be Self-confident and move forward in peace.
