Who is Sanaya? Suzanne Giesemann answers:

Who is Sanaya? Suzanne Giesemann answers: "Sanaya (pronounced "sah-NIGH-ah") has told us that she is a collective consciousness of minds with both a feminine and masculine energy. This energy comes from a higher dimension than our own. When I bring through Sanaya's words, I am "tapping in" to Higher Consciousness. I am allowing that Consciousness to express itself through my body: through my brain, through my vocal cords, my arms, my hands, and also through my pen. Sanaya would not need a name, except for our human need to put labels on things and place our experiences into well-defined boxes. Sanaya takes us outside the box into a dimension where we come face to face with our higher selves. To hear the words of Sanaya as they come through ... to sit in the presence of that energy ... is a palpable experience of higher vibration ... of love. To read Sanaya's words can have the same result when you tune in to that finer energy as you read." In Balance

What goes up must come down.  It is not just a law of nature, but of the soul in human form.  It is the spirit’s way of seeking balance, of bringing the human back to center.  If your emotions swing too far to one side they will of necessity experience an equal and opposite reaction.  Why do we say “of necessity?”  For all in creation is essentially perfect—designed to foster the perfect learning and growth experiences.  Through balance and the experience of being off-balance you learn mastery.  Which feels better and more natural:  being centered and at peace or out of balance?  You control just how high or low you go through mastery of thoughts.  No one said it would be easy, but the end result is appreciation, gratitude, and the capacity to feel one’s true nature, which is love.

Rounds

“The end is near!”  You hear these words and are filled with fear.  Yes, an ending is always near, because existence flows in cycles.  When an ending comes, a new beginning follows immediately.  And so, you could focus upon the end and be filled with angst, or you could also say, “A new beginning is just around the corner.”  Do you see how easily you go from down to up and back again?  Ah yes, even your moods are cyclical.

Do you see?  If you cannot see your way to peace when facing an ending, think of the circle and the cycles:  sunrises and sunsets; winter, spring, summer, and fall; death and birth.  What does this tell you?  If everything—yes, everything—in existence follows the circular pattern, then even death is not an end.  You exist, and you continue after death.  It is merely the start of a new cycle.  The same is true of others who have gone on to the next “round” of existence ahead of you.  You will catch up with them when you have finished this go-round.

The end is near?  Have no fear.  The circle makes things perfectly clear.

The Way

Do not despair when you encounter bumps in the road.  The path of life is never a smooth one.  Never.  If it had no ups and downs, where would be the learning and the growth?  If you cannot embrace the bumps, then simply take your foot off the accelerator and glide. Bumps are easier when you do not tense or brake.  Just take them slowly and flow over them.  Soon you will come to a smooth patch again.  It is the Way.  When you recognize this, you can unclench your teeth and enjoy the ride.

Image

A mirror is a point of focus.  You step in front of a mirror with a set intention, to view the body and make a judgment.  Think upon this.  Is it not so?  It is merely for the purpose of judging the body or its adornments.  In many cases, your mind is made up before you see the reflection, is it not?  It is difficult to see with the eyes of the soul when the focus is on the physical.  Difficult, but not impossible.

Set the intention when you step in front of the mirror that the focus will remain on the greater aspect of All That Is.  When a reflection reveals itself, remain neutral, as the soul always is.  See the body anew from this neutral viewpoint that has love as its essence.  What are you seeing?  A physical form that has much to tell you.  Remain neutral and hear the story with compassion.  Yes, compassion can be neutral.  Compassion does not judge.

You may not be able to love what you see in the mirror.  This tells you that you have shifted your focus from spirit to human.  That is all right.  You have taken the first step.  We are not asking you to change your self-image, but to allow the True Self to emerge from within.  Take your time.  You have eternity to grow.

Whole

Integrity … why is it so important?  Higher choices are always those which are in alignment with Truth.  Lower choices are dissonant.  All aspects of the Higher Self work in harmony to show you what is the highest choice.  The physical self cringes and twinges when decisions, actions, choices, thoughts, and words are not in alignment with the highest good.  The spirit nudges you through intuition.  That “gut feeling” is of the soul when you are pondering something that is less than the greatest good.  All work together.  They are integral.  Do you see?  In-tegr-ity.  Aim to always be in alignment, and you cannot go wrong.

Note from Suzanne:  I love this.  I had never put the two words together (integrity and integral).  I looked up "integral" after typing the message and found this:  "of, relating to, or belonging as a part of the whole; necessary to the completeness of the whole."  When I think of "integrity," it is always with the definition meaning:  "adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty", but the dictionary shows it also means, "the state of being whole, entire, undiminished; a perfect condition." How absolutely perfect to show us this in the context of our physical and spirit selves being in alignment.  Adherence to ethical principles always takes us toward wholeness. Thank you, Sanaya!

Lazy

Lazy days with time spent sitting by a river or drifting on a raft.  How often do you enjoy such an experience?  The term “lazy” to some carries a negative feeling accompanied by the thought that you must be doing something or going somewhere.  “Lazy” can just as well carry a positive feeling of relaxation and ease.  We ask you to examine how the word “lazy” feels to you, and you may just discover an obstacle to peace.  Love yourself no matter what.  That is the bottom line.

Deserving

Deserving ... what does this mean?  That you are worthy, have merited something.  Imagine a culture in which some are deemed more deserving than others, more worthy based on possessions, beauty,or other such temporal things. Such a society would be laughable, would it not?

If you are laughing, then you understand about the soul and how all are loveable, and that there is no such concept as deserving, for deserving would infer an opposite.  Where there are no opposites, there is only the purest of love.  Part of you exists in such a world now.  Another part of you exists in the other.

Do not despair, simply slip away every once in awhile to that state of mind where you become aware of your true self and know that you are loved no matter what. You always have been, but in the struggle for "deserving" you forgot.

The Power of One

The beauty of a flower in the desert
Stands out amid the starkness.
The light of one lantern
Stands out in the darkness.
Love is like that.

Where there is hatred, anger, and sadness,
Bring in the Light.
Where there is fear and worry,
With your peaceful presence take away the fright.
You, as Love, can do that.

Be aware of the power ... the power of One.
One flower, one lantern, one soul
To be noticed
To make a difference
To take what is broken and make it whole.

In Harmony

Resonance is all-important.  Each of you plays your own unique tune.  When you meet another, you instantly know at a soul level whether your combined tunes are in harmony or not.  If dissonant, you will want nothing to do with the other.  If you must be in the same space as another with whom you are not in resonance and find peace, you can either change your tune or learn to tolerate dissonance by rising above it.  Everything is energy including you.  Do you need to change your tune when clashing with another, or is your tune already one of such great beauty and light that others will start humming it?

Pressure-Free

There is never any pressure, except that which is self-imposed.  Why do you feel the stress and angst?  Did someone tell you that it is necessary?  You are perfect the way you are.  The outcome of your efforts does not change this.  You are loved no matter what happens in this life you are experiencing.  At some point it will come to an end, and in a flash of light will you realize that you still exist and you are still loved.

You cannot die, and you are loved.  Are these not the two fears which lead one to feel pressured?  If you can come to a place where you know these truths—that you cannot die and that you are loved--then you will be pressure-free.  Remove the “pressure” from this last phrase and from your life, and what are you?  You are free.

Note from Suzanne:  I had the opportunity to share my work with 80 students at the University of Arizona this week.  Afterwards I received comments and some questions from each student (All comments were anonymous).  I felt that others might find my response informative, so they are now on my "Suzanne's News and Musings Blog."  Here's the link:  http://suzannegiesemannwhatsnew.blogspot.com/2015/04/inquiring-minds.html

Finding the Alternatives

“I have no choice!” you cry, and you are mistaken.  You simply do not care for the alternative.  Perhaps that alternative fills you with fear.  Perhaps you feel it will hurt another.  That is what you mean by “no choice,” but there are always alternatives.  The choices become easier to make when you rise above the drama.  Who is it who is involved in the drama?  Players on a stage.  Who is it who observes from above?  The real you—an eternal being with Love at the center.  How would love act, knowing that there is no death of the soul and that all humans are on earth to be the Presence of Love?  Now you can see that there is always a choice, and the higher the choice, made from the Highest possible perspective, the more peace you will find.

Loveable

No one has told you enough how beautiful you are.  No one has said to you enough, “You are so loveable.”  And so, when you hear these words from another, you are drawn to them like a magnet.  You bloom as your heart opens upon hearing such words and feeling the energy.  Feel it now:  You are a beautiful soul!  You are so very loved.  You always have been, no matter what others may have told you or what you have experienced.

The challenge is that you cannot depend upon others to meet your needs, to say what you think you need to hear.  So what do you do?  Recognize that all needs are already met, beautiful soul.  You have forgotten to look beyond the human side to the part of you that IS love.  There you find unchanging beauty, undying love.  Focused there, on the soul, you realize you need never look outside yourself or depend upon another to stroke you.
Look inside yourself and know who you are.  Then, perhaps, you will realize it has always been true that you are not here to be loved, but to be love.
Note from Suzanne:  The other day I posted on my website the video of the message I delivered at the Center for Spiritual Living in Dallas.  It parallels Sanaya’s message today about seeing our innate magnificence.  To view this 18 minute clip with evidence given to me from the other side, click here or visit http://www.suzannegiesemann.com/videos/

Right There

Johnny on the Spot.  Who is he?  The one who always jumps to get things done—always there when you need him … oh, so reliable.  You could each use your own Johnny on the Spot, could you not?  And you have one.  Turn within when life becomes too challenging, when answers elude you.  Ask for Johnny to help you.

So many of you wish to know the names of your unseen helpers.  Do they truly need a name, or are they simply Light, as you are?  They are there every time you need them, when you need them, with just the right answers.  You will discover this as you get in the habit of trusting their presence and asking for help.  Johnny on the Spot they are.  Call them what you like, but use them.

Changeable

In your world of objects, things do not last.  Things break, and chip, and malfunction.  Bodies are included in the list of things that do not last forever.  Physical forms serve a purpose, but they do change.  There is a way to come to a place of peace in such a changeable environment:  accept and allow.

A most precious object cracks in two?  “And so it is.  I choose peace.”  Does this mean you do not feel disappointment?  That is your choice.  It is always your choice in a world where you have little control over the forces of Nature, but in which you do have control over your thoughts.  Find peace within the rules of the physical world, and you have found your way back Home.

Unpredictable

Surprises come in many forms.  The best kind are those that delight versus fill you with fright.  How can you prepare?  Be flexible, if you dare.  That is the challenge for the human side, for humans do so enjoy predictability and do so fiercely eschew change.  Know that change is the one constant, and therefore surprises are the norm.  Be surprised at nothing, but recognize the game being played.  Expect nothing and everything, and you will be surprised at how beautifully life unfolds.

It's Not About You

Be mindful of your words, whether written or spoken.  Keep in mind that many who read or hear what comes from your lips or pen will not think in terms of you, the source of the words, but of themselves.  This is the human way.  And so, they can easily take offense or take blame, or feel hurt or worried, or any of the many ego/fear-based human reactions.  This is not your worry, but if you are mindful that others are apt to think of the self, you can choose your words in such a way so as not to feed their fears.

You see, the real issue is that they do not think of the true Source of all words and thoughts, and they do not realize that they are also an aspect of that Source.  If they realized this, they would never feel lesser, insecure, or unworthy.  Until they do, you can help matters by seeing all from the perspective of the higher self in all that you do and all that transpires.

Crossed Signals

Do you catch yourself performing rituals from your childhood?  Do you step across cracks in the sidewalk or cross your fingers when crossing train tracks?  Have you stopped to examine the rituals?  What purpose do they serve?  You have rituals that go beyond your superstitions that serve no purpose other than serving your fears.  “If I don’t do this,” you think, “then something I do not wish to happen may happen.”  Is that so? Is this truly living consciously and authentically, or like a scared bunny?  Know who you are and what you are part of and you will know that you can dispense with all rituals and simply BE.  Be what?  Be free.

Note from Suzanne

I received the following note by email and realized others may have the same thoughts:

"I am a HUGE fan of Sanaya Says daily e-mails, so much so that I am constantly printing them out and putting them in a folder for future reference. I am quite sure I am not the only one doing this. As such, I was wondering (and hoping) that perhaps somewhere down the road, you could publish these into like a 365 day devotional or something. It would be a great gift for myself and to give to others."

I'm happy to share that there are two volumes of 365 days of Sanaya's messages, shown here.  Click here for Love Beyond Words (the first volume) and click here for In The Silence.  If the links don't work, both can be found on amazon.com by searching "Suzanne Giesemann."  (And be sure to not miss today's message posted at www.SanayaSays.com - "Inter State Travel.")

Inter State Travel

The journey of awakening is a short one, but it is not necessarily easy.  The path consists of traveling from a state known as ego to a state known as Love.  Both have varying names.  Ego, for example, can be known as pride, but also as self and separation.  Love can be called soul, spirit, and Higher Self, among others.  Both exist simultaneously and without space, which is why the journey is not one of distance.  It is all a matter of where you place your focus.  One moment you can be in self and the next in Self.  Awakening to Love takes great awareness of which state you are in at each moment and then making a choice as to whether you will stay there or not.

Angels are Real

Angels are real.  They come into your life just when you need them and at times when you did not realize your need.  What is an angel, but a helper.  Your dictionary defines an angel as a divine messenger, and this is so.  For this reason, angels can come in limitless forms, for all is divine.  With divine timing these messengers help you with the answer to prayers, requests, or even your innocence and ignorance.  They come to show you just how connected you are to the divine, that all is in perfect order, and that you are never alone.  Now that is a message you can never hear too often.
